Today we learnt about the Pharaoh ZOser and his step pyramid. It is thought that Zoser built the first ever pyramid and this is still the oldest stone building in Egypt.
We had to work in teams, using lego to build a step pyramid – EASY! Or so we thought. We had to use most od our essential skills as we worked in teams and overcome a lot of problems! We had great fun but we are very pleased we don’t have to build life sized pyramids!!
Well, what can I say?? The children were simply amazing! Mrs Taylor and I were so proud as I am sure those of you watching were! I would like to say a big thank you to Mr Campbell and Mrs Frampton for taking photos and videoing our play I am sure the children will enjoy watching themselves.
Today in maths we are talking about weight. We discussed how important it was to be able to read scales so we can all make cakes for Mrs Addison and Mrs Taylor!!
We then carried out some experiments to try and find objects of equal weights. We were quite surprised by the things we discovered. One table found out an ipod weighs the same as 6 whiteboard rubbers!!
